Mark van de Sanden

Mark van de Sanden is working as a system architect within the data preservation services team at SURF, which is the National organisation for providing ICT service for research and education in The Netherlands. Mark has more than 20 years of experience in managing supercomputers and large scale data infrastructures. He is a data and storage expert and has been leading the SURF(sara) data services team for more than 10 years. He has been a member of the management board of the ePIC consortium and has been involved in the WLCG NL-T1, LOFAR Long Term Archive and PRACE data challenges. In EUDAT, Mark is as technical coordinator member of the secretariat and is responsible for coordinating the service building activities. Mark is in EOSC-hub the task leader of the Service Catalogue Technical Evolution task and is involved in the EOSC Portal, Service Catalogue activities and in defining the Rules of Participation for service providers in EOSC. He is also a member of the Technical Committee and therefore involved in the EOSC-hub architecture work.
