20 June 15:00 CEST - Test the Blue-Cloud Aquaculture Monitor Virtual Lab
The marine thematic EOSC project Blue-Cloud has launched a webinar series to invite the entire marine research community to test the Blue-Cloud Virtual Labs.
The Aquaculture Monitor Virtual Lab has a specific focus on data related to the marine environment, and it is jointly developed by the Information and knowledge management Team (NFISI) of the Fisheries Division, Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the French provider of environmental monitoring solutions Collecte Localisation Satellites (CLS).
We are delivering a tool to produce national aquaculture sector overviews whereby a country can make use of OGC compliant data services to monitor its aquaculture sector, not in an isolated way, but built on interoperable services where teams can compute and publish reproducible experiments.
You will also have the chance to learn about the user experience of the Blue-Cloud hackathon winning team, who has exploited the Virtual Lab in their application Sea Clearly, which can help aquaculture providers, managers and end-users track pollutants such as microplastics in areas near aquaculture farms.
