The EOSC initiative aims at supporting more than 1.7 million researchers and boosting interdisciplinary research in Europe. To better understand what the research community needs, the EOSCSecretariat partner TU Wien is organizing a series of workshops, interviews and consultations. As part of this initiative, a small group of 25 European top-level researchers is invited to brainstorm not only about the actual needs of their current research but also about future needs and requirements concerning research infrastructures, and services. The by-invitation-only workshop will take place on 13 January 2020 in Feldkirch in Vorarlberg, Austria. It targets top-level researchers coming from different domains with a focus on natural and technical sciences.

The goal is to elaborate visions on how research will be conducted in 5 to 15 years and what the effect and impact on research infrastructures will be. The findings will feed directly into the work of the EOSC Executive Board (EB) and Working Groups (WGs), thus provide input crucial for the development of the EOSC.
