Co-creation Opportunities

The European Open Science Cloud will be built with a community-driven approach, and integrating stakeholders is crucial. Do you have an idea that can help co-create the EOSC? Take the chance to get funding for your activities! Next deadline on 3 Feb 2020.

Here are some of the activities from all around Europe supported and funded by the EOSC Co-creation funds:

The Europeana Conference, the main event dedicated to the EU digital platform for cultural heritage and its communities, took place in Lisbon and featured a pre-event workshop entirely dedicated to EOSC, entitled "EOSC's Evolutionary Scenarios - new Perspectives for Digital Cultural Heritage".

The Vienna University of Technology has recently released a series of video interviews. Here, Stefan Hanslik, Austrian delegate of the EOSC Governance Board, addresses some of the most common questions and themes surrounding the development and implementation of the EOSC, as well as the fundamental role played by scientific institutions in the process.

Take part in shaping EOSC

Over the final half of 2019, representatives from the EOSC FAIR and EOSC Architecture Working Groups have joined forces to create an outline of what is meant by persistent identifiers (PIDs), draft a policy for the European Open Science Cloud, and what are the key features that must be present in order to support FAIR research across EOSC. Join the discussion and provide your feedback now!

The Research Data Alliance (RDA) FAIR Data Maturity Model Working Group is inviting the EOSC community to test the FAIR DATA Maturity Model, a common set of core assessment criteria for FAIRness and a generic and expandable self-assessment model to evaluate the maturity level of datasets. A draft set of indicators with priorities is now available, provide your feedback now!

After more than one year after the launch of the initiative, what do researchers think about EOSC?

Upcoming EOSC Events

Feedback on the Initial PID Policy for EOSC will be collected at PIDapalooza 2020, the open festival on persistent identifiers, in a dedicated session by the title “The EOSC PID Policy”.
