Does the new EOSC entity respond to the needs of Research Performing Organisations?
Research performing organisations including universities, technology institutes, research infrastructures and research-enabling organisations are being asked to give their valuable input towards the new EOSC entity being defined in the SRIA (Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda) Open Consultation.
The consultation asks for the input of EOSC communities and beyond in setting out the future vision of the European Open Science Cloud by commenting on the current draft SRIA document before the closing date on 31st of August 2020.
As well as providing overall input, research performing organisations should, in particular, respond to the draft documents comments on ‘Guiding Principles’ and ‘Strategic Objective 2’ on FAIR data and incentivising it for their communities as well as ‘Action Area 13’ on communication which aims to have a consistent message to specified stakeholder groups.
The open consultation is part of the move towards the next phase of the EOSC and the creation of a legal entity. Input from the Open Consultation will be used to formulate the SRIA v1.0, due for publication in October and presented at the EOSC Symposium 2020 which will be held online in the week of 18 October. The SRIA will accompany the MoU which will be signed between the EOSC Association and the European Commission, thus forming the EOSC co-programmed partnership.
The consultation comes in the form of an online questionnaire where the respondent can give their views. Help shape the future of EOSC, take part in the open consultation here!
